Sometimes this can also cause a black loading screen to take forever when entering/exiting buildings in a populated online session.* Meaning, that if you or just one of those players has a wobbly connection, your loading screen will take quite a while. To load into an online lobby, your game (or client) needs to sync with every other player in that lobby. After the 10sec you let GTAV.exe run again, and you should load into an empty online lobby for yourself. You can do this by stopping GTAV.exe in your windows task manager for about 10 seconds. If you do get stuck in a loading screen, its still possible to lag yourself out of whatever session that is keeping you locked in the loading screen. Of course, if you create an invite only or crew session you will immediately notice how smooth the game runs if you dont have to properly connect with other players in a lobby anymore. You can cut the initial startup short by first loading story mode, and from there start an online session. This is because GTAO runs on peer 2 peer instead of game servers.
